Telling Lime - Natural Hydraulic Lime
Telling Lime manufacture and are distributors for a range of natural lime mortar products for
various applications, together with stabilisation and consolidation grouts, mesh
reinforcement and lime paints and finishes. The natural hydraulic lime products
replicate the strength,
porosity, adhesion, vapour permeability and flexibility of historic mortars.
Unilit mortars conform to European Standard ENV 459-1 for natural
hydraulic lime mortars. The products are
manufactured using a modern day manufacturing process, are guaranteed against failure for 10 years and are warranted against defect
under a professional indemnity insurance.
Telling also manufacture a range of bonding agents for use with Unilit mortars.

Unilit 65F - Fine through coloured finishing mortar
for internal and external render.
Unilit 65F.
A smooth or fine textured through coloured traditional, dry, premixed mineral finishing
mortar based on natural hydraulic lime and suitable well graded agregates, available in
natural (beige) and 24 standard colours and
colours achievable using natural earth ochre pigments. Unilit through coloured renders are produced
using natural earth ochre pigments, which are inert, UV resistant and do not
leach out or fade.
Unilit 65 is characterised by a slow but strong bond, a high plasticity,a low
soluble salts content and an excellent water vapour permeability. The natural
hydraulic lime mortar is inherently stable and designed to reduce problems of
micro cracks along with premature drying out.
The natural hydraulic lime binder, used to prepare Unilit 65, conforms to the
European Standard ENV 459-1 for building limes.
When used as a finishing mortar to new Unilit 20, 25 30, 35N, 35M, 65 or Unilit Fen XA
plasters and renders, specify as the final
coat to the base render/undercoat (specify in the relevant Unilit clause).

Product reference: Unilit 65F.
Colour: Natural (beige) and 24 standard colours.
Thickness: 3-4 mm overall.
Finish: Seek advice from Telling. Sponged or floated
to the desired finish
Application: Mix
Unilit 65F with clean water - 4 to 5 litres of water to 25 kg of powder depending on
the temperature and substrate. Mix manually or mechanically for 3 to 5 minutes.
Apply manually or mechanically to a dry or damp substrate in 2 layers of 2mm (wet on wet).
If the substrate is too dry, dampen down the surface prior to
overcoating. Do not apply in temperatures below 5°C or above 40°C. The mortar remains
workable for 2 hours and dries in 24-48 hours. Protect from frost for 48 to 72 hours. Do
not use mortar below ground level unless applied over Unilit 30.
